GAS AGGREGATION

Natural Gas Aggregation Program

What is Gas Aggregation

  • Natural Gas Aggregation means the City of Niles has enacted legislation to allow for a natural gas supplier on its behalf. Under governmental aggregation programs, local governments bring their citizens together to gain group buying power for the purchase of competitively priced natural gas from a retail natural gas supplier certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Current Supplier and Rate

  • The City’s natural gas aggregation program is managed by our aggregation broker through Eastern Power and Gas LLC, and the agreement currently establishes a fixed rate of 4.60 dollars/Mcf. This rate is effective from March 2026 through October 2027. This program is OPT-IN, so residents and small businesses must directly contact the supplier to participate. Customers are welcome to compare their natural gas supply options using the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio’s Apples to Apples Tool at energychoice.ohio.gov/applestoapples.aspx.
